Skin needling (also known as microneedling or collagen induction therapy) uses a medical-grade device with tiny micro-needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. These stimulate your body’s natural repair process, boosting collagen and elastin production to improve texture, tone, and firmness from within.
Most clients describe it as mildly uncomfortable but very manageable. You may apply an over the counter numbing cream prior to your treatment if preferred. Some areas may feel a little more sensitive, but the procedure takes less than 10 minutes and is well-tolerated by most skin types.
You may experience some redness, sensitivity, or a sunburn-like sensation for 24- 48 hours. Mild flaking or dryness may follow. Most clients return to their usual routine within a day or two, and makeup can typically be worn after 24 hours. Your therapist will give you full aftercare instructions to support your healing.
Some clients notice an improvement in skin tone and texture within the first week, but the full benefits—such as firmer, clearer, more even skin—develop gradually as collagen production continues over the following weeks and months.
